Benefon was founded in Finland in 1988 specialising in advanced GSM/GPS mobile telematics, terminals and solutions. The name change from Benefon Oyj to GeoSentric Oyj was registered to Trade Register on December 10, 2007 and GeoSentric Oyj will be Company's official name beginning from this day.

From its headquarters in Salo, Finland, the Company has positioned itself at the forefront of combined mobile phone and GPS navigation technology. GeoSentric’s products integrate global GSM communications services with GPS positioning, utilising clear mapping and cartography.

GeoSentric’s solutions include consumer products, in-vehicle and machine-to-machine mobile equipment and software applications.
