TWIGConfigurator_CT1P_TCP90EU.exe is the new configurator that can be used to configure both TGP81EU and TCP90EU devices.
Please note that unless you have previously used this SW on your computer, for setting up TGP81EU devices you may additionally need to install mingwm10.dll and wxmsw28u_gcc.dll. They are available for download here
. Copy them to same directory as the Configure_CT1P_TCP90EU.exe.
Before new Firmware version update you should save your device current configuration to PC with TWIG Configurator.
After saving the configuration you can program ("burn") new new firmware version.
After upgrading and rebooting if TWIG Configurator requests password then do Device factory reset from TWIG Configurator.
After reset and reboot do device configuration again, or download the saved configuration file back to device.
TWIG Configurator for new TCP90EU works also for controlling device settings of all TGP81EU products (TWIG Protector, TWIG Protector Easy, TWIG Protector Ex, TWIG Asset Locator).
Make sure you use the correct version of the TWIG FirmwareLoader. The first 4 digits in the firmware define
the correct version:
CG1P works with Protector TGP81EU
CT1P works with Protector TCP90EU
CG1E works with Protector Easy TGP81EU
CG1A works with TWIG Asset Locator TGP81EU
CG1P works with Protector Ex TGP81EU
You can identify the new TWIG Protector by designation TCP90EU in the type label. Here are some technical tips for managing the new TWIG devices in your system:
TWIG Configurator_CT1P and TWIG Protector TCP90EU do not require installing specific USB drivers anymore but use
Windows HID drivers instead (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP).
There are no changes to over-the-air protocols from TGP81EU to TCP90EU. For details of over-the-air protocols please refer to TWIG Integrator Kit
If while batch programming you want to prevent Windows from creating new driver files (VID and PID) for each new device, please contact TWIG Support for tips.
